About Earn by Creating
Who writes these guides, how we check them, and how the site is paid for.
Earn by Creating is a guide for people who want to get paid for the things they make: short videos for brands, YouTube channels, faceless and AI-assisted channels, sponsored posts, streams and subscription pages. It is written for beginners and side-hustlers who want a first paid step.
We started it because the answer to “how do I make money creating content” is scattered across platform help centers, Reddit threads and course sales pages that promise more than they deliver. The help centers have the rules. The threads have the experience. The sales pages have the hype. We try to put the first two together and leave the third out.
What We Cover
Six sections, each organized around the questions people actually search:
- UGC jobs: getting paid by brands for videos they post, with no audience required.
- YouTube monetization: Partner Program rules, Shorts payouts and every other income stream on YouTube.
- Faceless channels and AI avatars: what works, what YouTube will not pay for, and the tools.
- Brand deals: media kits, rates, pitches and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) disclosure.
- Becoming an influencer: picking a niche and growing on Instagram, TikTok or Twitch.
- OnlyFans: the platform run as a business, for adults, with privacy and taxes covered.
How We Research a Guide
Every platform rule we state comes from the platform’s own documentation where we can read it: YouTube Help, the FTC’s guidance for influencers and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for US tax rules. Figures for TikTok, Twitch and OnlyFans come from third-party reports, and the guides label them that way. Where the only source is a third party, such as a marketplace’s survey of UGC rates, we say so and present the figure as that one source’s estimate.
We do not publish income screenshots, “I made $10,000 in a month” stories or average-earnings figures we cannot trace. Most creators earn little in their first year. A guide that hides that is not useful.
Each guide carries the date of its most recent revision in the header. Platform rules change fast, so we re-check thresholds and prices on a schedule and whenever a reader reports a change.
How the Site Makes Money
Some links to creator tools may become affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We name drawbacks alongside features for every tool we mention. We may also accept clearly labelled sponsorships. We do not sell courses, coaching or “done-for-you” channels.
What We Will Never Publish
- Tactics that break platform rules or the law: buying followers or views, fake reviews, engagement pods sold as growth, bot promotion, or undisclosed paid posts.
- Income promises. Nobody can tell you what a channel or a page will earn.
- Explicit content. Our OnlyFans section is a business guide.
Corrections
If a threshold, price or rule on this site is wrong or out of date, send us a note with a link to the source. We fix confirmed errors and update the page date.
Who This Site Is For
Beginners and side-hustlers in the US and other English-speaking markets who want a clear first step. If you already have a manager, an agency or a seven-figure channel, most of this will feel basic. If you are deciding between filming UGC for brands, starting a channel, or both, it is written for you.
Earn by Creating publishes general information for creators. It is not legal, tax or financial advice, and nothing here promises income. Platform rules, payout terms and prices change often, so check the platform's own help pages before you rely on a number. Some links may be affiliate links; that never changes what we recommend.
